

I’m running my first half marathon with Team Chicago Run, a charity that uses running and physical activity to empower youth and communities across Chicago. As a fitness instructor and former elementary school teacher, I’ve seen firsthand how movement builds more than physical strength - it builds confidence, resilience, and lifelong healthy habits.
Access to physical activity shouldn’t be a privilege. When kids are introduced to movement early, they gain tools that support their physical, mental, and emotional well-being for life. Team Chicago Run makes that possible by creating safe, inclusive spaces where youth can grow, move, and thrive.
