I want to raise money for Chicago Run because I have seen how powerful running and sports can be in a young person’s life. Chicago Run gives students in under-resourced communities the chance to learn confidence, resilience, and important life skills through running and fitness. By participating in the Chicago Half Marathon and Chicago Marathon, I want my training to mean more than just finishing the race. I want it to make a difference in the lives of kids who might not have access to programs that inspire them to stay active and reach their goals. Raising funds will help Chicago Run provide students with mentorship, coaching, and experiences that teach teamwork, discipline, and self-belief. These lessons go beyond running and can help students face challenges at school, at home, and in their communities. Running a half marathon or marathon is a personal challenge for me, but knowing that I can use it to support this cause makes every mile even more meaningful. Each mile I run represents the effort and dedication that these kids put into improving themselves every day, even when it is difficult. I want to honor their hard work by turning my miles into resources that can help them succeed. Raising money for Chicago Run allows me to use my love of running to help others and show that sports can be a way to build confidence and open doors for young people. Supporting this organization means helping children discover what they are capable of and giving them the tools to grow into strong, healthy, and motivated leaders. I am excited to run for them and make every step count toward their future.
